If a large group of people really like/dislike something, it's not a bandwagon. A bandwagon is when someone says something he doesn't mean just to receive thumbs by those who really feel that way. In example, I dislike Nicki Minaj with a passion. Maybe some die-hard Nicki Minaj fan out there, decided to be a thumbwhore by saying she dislikes him, just so she could feel accepted by others.
