I think it's the obvious bravado in using shitty lyrics from shitty songs. If the people were such brave strong people they wouldn't have to use assholes like Lady Gaga and Good Charlotte as mouthpieces to tell everybody that they're tootally in all ways cool with themselves and don't feel in the least bit secure at all.

In the end it's harmless, but it is excrutiatingly annoying. I used to poke and prod at those people, it's fun but ultimately useless. In the end I just realized those people are always going to be like that and to just delete them from my facebook.

tl;dr because they're assholes, that's why.

Borderline slutty, showing a bit of skin doesn't necessarily warrant a harsh comment like that.
