The problem with that is...EA games are good.
They are ******* good games, there's not doubt about that.
EA is bad for everyone, and their buisness practices are horrible, but they publish good games, and that's why people still buy them.

I wont personally, heres why:

1. They own the NFL licenses, and are the only one who can make football games.

2. Their games are good, just really bad management.

3. Their server suck ass, but what else is there to buy that they don't have a part in?

don't buy and don't pirate it either.

when a game is ****, like the newest sim city you shouldn't pirate it either... why? because EA will blame the bad sales on pirates and it is ****** working!

just wake up already, whenever a game sells bad "too many pirated copy" instead of "yea well... we made a bad game"

What the dude in that chat asked for is called a back payment, or something like that. It's totally legal but against you EULA so they are perfectly right to ban you.

That may be true, but the EULA is ******** to begin with.

And, they publicly offered a refund, so them refusing to do so, and threatening to ban you if you make them do it, is ********.

EA are scumbags.

Whether it is ******** or not, you clicked the agree button to play. Thereforth you said "I am aware this is ******** but I will not break it" then you break it by demanding a refund.

A refund is different then a callback. A call back is essentially you have to pay ME for the game and the "pain it has caused". The EULA states that this cannot happen. The guy wanted more than the game was worth and EA said no and shut him down.

I have a friend who works at EA Romania, and their office is in the same building where I work. In the mornings, at the elevators, I come across a bunch of SWAG faggots with their caps tilted sideways ever so slightly, lowered baggy pants, ridiculous shoes and their over sized EA lanyards...

This friend told me that, well, apparently those guys are beta testers. Yep, the quality of the games EA makes is handed to those retarded joystick monkeys.

yes, i know. it was a joke. but honestly, what ea is doing today isn't 1/4 as ea did in 1998. Quality has been traded for quantity, as every fifa game is improved as little as possible, as every shooter game is dumbed down as much as possible, etc.

I thought Dragon Age Origins came out just before EA. Ah well, I was wrong then. Sorry, but I love that game and Mass Effect 2 is pretty good too. Could've been better I suppose. However DA2 just reeks of EA with their overpriced DLCs. Like having to buy Sebastian for 10 €, he's so boring and Im not sure I would've even bought Varric (whom I love) for that kind of money.

Guys, I don't want to say that EA aren't dicks, but this is not what happened. They said they would accept refund requests (but of course being dicks you're not gonna get a refund very easily), but the refund requests were not the reason for the ban. The reason was that some guy threatened to do a chargeback (which is basically refunding your purchase through your creditcard company), which is against the terms of service of just about everything that sells stuff.

For a probably somewhat better explanantion:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lwo96d_rP1U&list=UUy1Ms_5qBTawC-k7PVjHXKQ&index=1

PS: I know EA are dicks, but this is just not true.

There are still "buyer's remorse" laws in place (at least here in Canada) that force a seller to accept a return within a certain period.
Punishing for demanding a legally supported refund is against the law.

These laws probably only have impact on physical copies of the game, not on digital sales through Origin, at which point EA is not directly involved anymore, seeing as you would get your refund from the retail store, which would then go to EA to get their money back.

And like you said, there are laws like that in Canada and other places too, but not everywhere.
