US would not totally PWN North Korea in a war for many reasons (yes they would most likely win but not without casualty) and here is why.

All of North Korea's money goes into it's military.... Training soldiers, Providing such soldiers with gear, Jets, Tanks, etc. They have a lot of money that seems to "disappear" and nobody is sure exactly what North Korea has in terms of vehicles.

Secondly, a small country does not mean a small military, they have the 4th biggest military in the world, with... 1,106,000 Troops (on last count) North Korea's forces have grown since then

America ranks second in this list with 1,458,219 troops, but who knows, NK may have more than this now....

It'd be a pretty well matched war in terms of military size, though I'm sure the US will have more vehicles.

Do not start the argument "America has more nukes", it's a stupid argument as nobody wanted to start a nuclear war, and America would loose all it's allies in doing so.

You are forgetting that as soon as North Korea attacks anything, America, South Korea and China will be all over them. They are fighting three countries here. There is no way they will win this.

North Korea and China are allies, China has a pact with N Korea to protect it.
China is against what N Korea is doing as it doesn't want trouble with America but if it lead to war I think China would stand back.

As for S Korea, they won't attack N Korea unless N Korea attacks them, this is something they've been doing for years. N Korea has threatened S Korea many times to push them into war but S Korea is very good at waiting for N Korea to make the first move.

This isn't the Justic League of countries, this is real life, countries won't jump into a war that isn't an immediate threat to them, Hence why America stood out of WWII for so long.

Actually, we probably wouldn't do much at all. They would launch stuff at south, (maybe a nuke if they could manage to glue one together.) and then the south would fight back. Yes NK has a massive military but it doesn't have any resources for them. Most of their boats have no fuel so they sail, most of the soldiers don't get enough food so they have to steal, ETC. Their war would be pretty short.

Our involvement (this is only if they launched a nuke or tried to mount a full scale invasion on the south) would probably be as such: They'd launch or invade, south korea would fight them for a big, they'd call for help, we'd send over a carrier force, put another 50,000 boots on the ground and pretty much force them into a full blown surrender this time. Not an armistice like last time. One thing you didn't factor in is that while the people are brainwashed to love Kim, once they get a glimpse of the outside it's all over. The people would realize the ****** conditions they are living in and they'll rise up against the government. The world wins.

Well, the fact of the matter is this:

North Korea: Soviet area equipment and hardware
U.S/Japan/South Korea: Cutting edge technology, aircraft, and Soldiers around the world.

Having more Soldiers in your military means nothing when you have ****** training, ****** equipment, and a fanatical leadership who is willing to sacrifice you and your family.

The only one truly hurt by a North Korean attack would be South Korea, just because they have thousands of missiles already pointed at the South. North Korea would never recover from the Allied attack, that's a fact. The U.S. would only have to really use it's Navy and Air Force, and maybe (just maybe) ground forces. But again, it would be no contest.

Just out of curiosity. Do you know the size of nk's navy? Because us having naval superiority would be a big deal with a na tion such as nk.

Let's put it this way. The U.S. Navy has a larger combined tonnage/number of ships than the next 10 navies combined
