It is also highly likely that, because of her rampancy, she won't exactly be on your side when you next see her.

Also, given the events in Spartan Ops we may end up seeing Dr Halsey playing a far larger part in the actual campaign than she has in previous games. John will probably either have to kill her or will end up going against the UNSC and joining her. Maybe trying to mediate between the two. Point is that with Cortana gone he'll need another voice in his head so that the player won't be getting too lonely and that voice is likely to be either the crazy spartan chick from SPops or Halsey. Maybe both and you start on one team and turncoat to the other.

Point is that once you know enough about how stories work it starts to be kind of a curse and I can see all of these points laid out before me. If I actually tried to analyse them I could probably come up with a far more detailed estimate of how this is all going to play out but I'd rather be hopeful that the story won't go where I fear it will and will go where I hope it will.

Seriously. The A.I. becoming human shit is so corny and overdone that just doing that would not only be a betrayal of everything that works about Cortana but also a thematic balls up to the Halo series as a whole as well as a corporate balls up, dividing the fanbase and atop all that it would be a writing balls up because it's just too corny.

I hold out hope that 343 is above these kinds of things but, from what I've seen in Halo 4, SPops and similar non-halo works that have similar elements... let's just say that I'm not certain as to where this is going to go but I wouldn't be surprised if it went either way.

Granted, that is a possibility and is probably going to be one of the conclusions that the story will reach. However that seems very much to be a Halo 6 thing and I expect that we will definitely see her in her rampant glory before we see her back to top form.

I know. Because I know enough about writing for these things to be pretty obvious.

[Possible Serious Spoilers. You were warned.]

1) 343i aren't about to kill off Cortana completely. They've made enough ballsy moves that backfired on them massively and I can't imagine they'd risk that on the story mode either.

2) Cortana talks about knowing a sun is there but never seeing it. This angsty crap serves no purpose to the story other than to look like clever foreshadowing for what happens in point 5. (If they wanted her to seem contemplative of her life or her existence then there are 100 better ways to do it at least. The "knowing isn't seeing" thing has been done to death and almost always points in one direction)

3) It is mentioned in the story that the forerunners were developing technology to turn digital creatures like A.I. into biological ones. This technology is said to have never worked. Because of this and the fact that it's not working played no important part in the storyline of Halo 4 we can assume it is in there as foreshadowing for when the technology becomes important. For what? See point 5.

4) The Didact almost definitely isn't dead. All we know is that he fell into a mass of orange energy from where the beam fired at earth came. It is explained several times that the beam doesn't kill people, rather it digitises them. Because of this, it can be assumed that he simply got digitised. Interestingly enough, the data that the humans from earth were turned into ended up on requiem, so it's safe to assume that he did to and he probably escaped before it blew up.

5) All of this information points to what may just be the most irritatingly likely possibility. Both Cortana and Didact are alive and Didact is trying to get himself back to his fleshy form through the means of finishing that tech. The story will likely culminate with cortana either becoming biological, rejecting it or dying for good before she is able to turn herself fleshy.

It's "Oliver!", the musical version of Oliver Twist. It's pretty catchy and hopefully, it doesn't contain as much improv on the actor's parts due to unlearned lines

One thing our show now has is a 17 foot tall door we have to build in tech crew. Its like, most of our set.

Nah, just wood. Actually, the tech director (the adult coordinating our builds) has done most of the building so far. Its been kinda boring.
