He wasn't part of it, but he was aligned with them. He was part of the leadership pf the Confederacy of Independent Systems, who were allied to the Sith.

Doesn't Sith refer to the alignment, not the Jedi skills? To my knowledge, non-force users can also be Siths, they just can't get the Darth title.

Pure Siths were an actual species of humanoid alien that embraced the dark side and lived on planets like Korriban. The Sith Order that came after they died out. starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Sith_%28species%29

Hm. I wasn't aware. I've only read a couple of the books. I was under the assumption that the sith were at the very least force sensitive. Then there was some kind of change and sith became more of a political alignment. At least, that's what I gather from KOTOR.

Bounty Hunters
And various other races that created lightsaber style weapons.

Your argument is invalid because although historically lightsabers were used mainly by force users, they can be used by anyone, and made by anyone, as shown by Jaden Korr who made his own lightsaber before even beginning his Jedi Training.

Yes. But they were meant to go to Jedi's. They were supposed to be the only ones to use them.
Others got them from other means. Meaning there is still light saber control.

Not really, if they were meant to be only used by Jedi, they would take Sith sabers, and they would take lightsabers from anyone who found out how to make them and weren't Jedi, like Jaden Korr.

No, but they wouldn't allow known sith to be buried with them and they would most likely destroy them if they found any.
But they don't, they let the Sith keep them.
Which I think is stupid, because Sith traditionally have used swords.

Gun Control

Guns don't kill people, people kill people, with guns designed to kill massive numbers of people. No such thing as an automatic lightsaber...yet.
