The KC135 has them, as well so I assume most have windows that open

They do, but often the internal pressure keeps them sealed inflight.

Its for when the pilots are taxiing, most aircraft have a similar system

The c17 has a pretty distinct nose lol, windows are similar to the kc135 but it has a rounded nose instead of pointed lol.

I'm guessing you're probably air force then? Or just that awesome with planes?

was a washout... I went in not knowing I had athsma X_X.... ended up in the hospital with such a low blood oxygen level I should have blacked out and was near the point of dying XD!.. buuuuuut I've always Loved planes my whole life XD! I can tell certain models by the sound they make passing over, example the f/a 18's have a much deeper rumble with an almost popping sound following as compared to an f16 which has the same popping after tone and a medium pitched roar that hits a little harder when he pushes on the throttle than the f/a 18..

Aww man that sucks! D: I'm actually headed off to basic on the 5th for loadmaster. And damn, that takes some skill to learn the sounds like that! I just know the sound of C-17 and C-130 flying over head, since I hear them almost everyday >.>

I live in a navy town XD! so i'm mostly used to the f/a 18s and (before they retired them) s3 vikings and every few minutes p3 orions XD! BUT whenever they do exercises here we get a bit of everything XD one point i was seeing euro fighters and mirages on a daily basis

In all honesty I've never been to a navy base before, it's always been air force or army. So I've never really been up close to any fighter planes, but I'm sure once I'm out of tech school I'll be seeing a lot of them; especially since I have part of my tech school at a navy base in Florida :P

NAS in jacksonville??? XD that's where the planes I see are based out of XD, Youll see some awesome planes at lackland XD! A couple f16's a c5 galaxy or two, a few c130's and Most common the c17 XD! May not get a chance to look half the time but you'll learn them all at a glance easy. You may even catch sight of a Luftwaffe tornado if your lucky, they train in new mexico and I know i saw a couple.

For sure Lackland, after basic I get to spend another 2 and ahalf more weeks there for tech school. I'm reallllyyyy hoping for the C-17, just a good plane altogether and doesn't break down every time you land....
