why do girls feel the need to do shit like this?

Last year after a party me and some friends stayed the night at a friends'. A few of my friends told a girl, that my one friend's little brother (in grade 7) was really popular in another school, and he was in grade 12. So her in 11th grade, gave this kid in 7th a hand job, soley because she thought he was popular and in 12th grade.

Mind you she was a little drunk, but we didn't really even need to convince her. The conversation went like thi roughly: ''That guy says he thinks you're hot'' ''Really? I don't even know him, how old is he?'' ''He's 18, he goes to Lourdes, he's like, the most popular guy that goes there, everyone knows him'' ''Really? Well, he's kinda cute'' ''You should go give him a handjob (laughing)'' ''Idunno, should I? I dunno'' ''Think about it, how often do you get the chance?'' ''Okay''

This is basically what happened, and it still to this day kind of pisses me off.
