im curious how much work people do? like what do people looking for jobs do on a daily basis? is it 18 hours of just typing your resume and putting it on monster?

You look at tons of job offers that are not suitable for you, and then send your resume to the company that has at least one opening that fits you. You can also call up contacts who you think may have a lead on where you can get what you need and/or pull you somewhere. You do this several hours a day, and try to get a cheap hobby, cuz otherwise you'll go crazy. Most ppl just go through some variant of this.
