Quite a few tribes signed treaties and to this today have their own land, they also continue to buy more land and remain as sovereign nations recognized by the united states government, canadian government as well as others.
When it came down to it we did what we could and as bad as the outcome was it could have been much worse.

i'm from deadwood SD i'm always getting Lakota telling me i stole my house and property but the funny thing is they stole it from the Cheyenne tribe in the 1770's and the stole it from the Kiowa tribes a few hundred years earlier and each time the would kill the and desecrate the warriors and elderly scalping them and desecrating their bodies and rape or enslave the women and children and they would do this by pretending to be allied one day then just changing their minds and attacking how is that any diffrent from what we did
