The picture is not suggesting that eating 1 bag of chips is going to make you inflate like a balloon.
It's trying to get people to think more about what they put in their mouth, and how they sometimes sacrifice longterm health for short pleasures like eating a bag of chips or drinking a bottle of coke.
How did people not get that?
Also, the girl is not anorexic or in any way too thin taken from a health perspective.
She might be too thin for some peoples taste, but her body fat percentage is probably exactly where it should be.
Not all people want to have a bit on the sides, the same way that not all people want to be completely lean.

I get that, but I doubt that pic's actually gonna work in the way it's intended to. Most females are never going to achieve that body shape and why should they? They should be striving to achieve a shape which will work with their body and ensure that they're still healthy, not some ideal female figure.
Plus that chick would definitely be too thin to give blood over in the UK. (Pics always make people look healthier IMO. I know quite a few extremely skinny girls who look normal in their Facebook photos.. probz because there's nothing to compare them to, but that's beside the point.)
How about just one with words... I don't know, like "Think: do you really want that bag of chips?" Something better than that.. but I think this one will probably just depress people.

I guess i agree with most of what you just said.
But i dont think you are an unhealthy bodyweight just because you cant give blood. Donating blood is really bad for your body no matter how skinny or chubby you are.
You can be healthy, but still not have a liter of blood to spare.
The last part is something i definitely agree on. I think we need more ads like this, but not just in terms of diet. Big cities could use some signs like "Do you really need that purse?".
Ofcourse this would never happen, as it would be bad for business.
