How dare you whore this dead soldier' s picture to get people to
like your shitty page.
This is so disrespectful to this young man who gaye his life for
your goddamn country, you are almost saying "Hey, fuck you, I
don' t care that you gaye your life to protect my freedom and
lifestyle, all I care about is likes on my Facebook page."
How fucking dare you take this man' s funeral and use it to get
people to pay attention to you.
This is beyond terrible, whoever posted this should be in that
coffin instead of that soldier.
1 Like = 1 Prayer to this young man!!!

yeah, but as a sailor in the us navy, I don't like being called a seaman, because I am not one. Sailor is the correct generic term. Seaman is more specific to a set of rates neither engineering in nature nor dealing with aircraft. Those are fireman, and airman.

I have this weird feeling that americans really believe that the soldiers are fighting for their freedom.

come on guys. you thumb up Ron Paul, Jon Steward, Bill Mayer and others saying that the near east countries are absolutely no threat if America wouldnt be there in the first place, but as long as a soldier dies, you change your opinion...

Even if they arn't defending their freedom, they're preparing to defend it. Thats the thing. And even if it wasn't for freedom people have to do what the government says right when it comes to war? So people are thankful for those who volunteer so others don't have to. I guess.

Soldiers dont fight for our freedoms but they do fight for our foreign interests as dictated by dudes in suits who get paid too much... but look these men and women who serve in the military theyre brave, really brave, they dont fight for "our freedoms" they fight because its what they either feel is right or what they were born to do, you dont have to respect the war, or respect the douchebags who put our soldiers in it, but any man willing to pick up a gun on the Americans side or that of our enemies for their beliefs is damn fine in my book, Im not brave enough to do what they do so i respect them

Here is what people don't understand about what the US does. First the invasion of Iraq was not about WMDs, WMDs were the justification for going to war (and there were WMDs in Iraq that ended up in Syria) The Iraq war was about oil, not oil for the US, oil for Europe, why do you think the UK and France both said there were WMDs. The oil insured energy security in Europe and energy security in Europe is vital for global security . Now Afghanistan is entirely different story, Afghanistan was a justifiable response to 9/11. The US hasn't left Afghanistan for the same reason the US didn't leave Japan and Germany following World War II, it is both strategic and the US feels a responsibility to rebuild and reform the government to assure an ally in the region. So to summarize, yes, these soldiers are fighting for freedom, both American and global freedom. I never have changed my opinion based on the photos on here, I still respect the hell out of American soldiers and the work they do.

No it wasn't. Afghan soldiers didn't blow up the WTC, terrorists did. Those terrorists were harbored in many different countries, including Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, etc. The U.S. unlawfully invaded both Iraq and Afghanistan, they're illegal wars.

Only three countries recognized the Taliban government as legitimate so invading Afghanistan was not illegal because they were not recognized as a sovereign state and the UN Security Council said that the war was not an act of aggression but an act of self-defense. Also, Al Qaeda was based in Afghanistan and never was in Iraq until after the 2003 invasion. Pakistan would also be a place to invade considering they have Nuclear weapons and are considered an ally of the US.

Osama bin Laden and al-Qaeda, i.e. the terrorists who orchestrated the 9/11 attacks, were at the time based in Afghanistan. Afghanistan's Taliban regime was harboring them and refused to give them up at the US's request, so the US invaded, both to go after al-Qaeda and to oust the Taliban.

Yeah, and that wasn't their war to fight. The U.S. had no right to invade a foreign nation that had not been a threat. It'd be like a gang harboring a group of people who blew up something in China, so China invades for payback, even if the U.S. had nothing to do with it.
