Shading hurts a lot less than outlining, too. The outlining needle is smaller so it hurts more. Larger shading needle = more surface area = less pain. Same idea as a bed of nails.

At no point were my bicep and shoulder tattoos painful enough to bother me and I don't have a crazy pain tolerance. They're just not sensitive areas.

Yeah but people get tribals are stuff like that all the time. If anything it was just time consuming.
