"Morally the world would be much better without religion"

******** , when religion was a major factor of human life, Morality was through the roof, and nobody did anything wrong because they were afraid of the consequences.

This bothers me, not because of what he said, I don't care about that, but because of the way posts like this treat celebrities. We act like they're someone to look up to, like they're so much wiser than the majority of the population, and when a quote comes around like this one, no matter how ignorant it is, people will copy and paste it throughout the internet like it means something. This doesn't sound like something a wise old man says, it sounds like something an angsty teenager says. Being a famous motoring journalist shouldn't give your words any more philosophical standing than any other person.

I only like these quotes from famous people when it's something the person saying it actually knows a lotta **** about. For Jeremy Clarkson, that's cars, not religion.

I have nothing against religion. I don't believe any of it personally but many of my friends and family members do. Including my very understanding girlfriend. I won't make my kids learn it. If they choose to believe, I'll let get them where they want to be. I personally thing The Bible has a lot of moral purposes and will probably teach my own kids those. I think you have your choice to believe but we should gain knowledge and learn from them. Now instead of reading my comment please enjoy this random picture posted instead

Should be dead three times but angels came. Why me ..I am a sinner just like everyone else, . Jeremy Clarkson is wrong, maybe rich but wrong.
Jesus does not only Love you but likes you too...lucky for us or we would all be gone. Trust me . I have seen it. We are nothing, We would be gone in 7 seconds.

warning, Jeremy's thought domestication
Honestly, America went to **** after separation of church and state, make of it what you will. Also People will find something to start a war over regardless of beliefs. They will hate each other over a ******* tv show for crying out loud. Evil depends on mankind in general, You dont need religion alone for that. It seems very totalitarianistic to make a statement like Jeremy Clarkson made, which might I add has held us back in past. I dont see how a "free thinker" can be so eager to domesticate thought.

If its not funny its junk.
