Anyone who works with web design hates IE6 with a passion... too many people still use it so you have to make sure your site works with it.
Which basically means you need to code everything twice, once normally, and again in back-ass IE6 compatible garbage.

I agree with you mostly though, a lot of people who hate on IE really don't need to have anything to do with it. That said, sometimes people just need something to bitch at.

People complain, about things they dont like. Its a fact of life, hell its not even that big of a deal. Like what you are doing right now. IE is actually pretty notorious in being a bad browser, mainly because of how it was in the past.

My school gives everyone their own laptop so that we can use whatever we want during schoolwork...

My school only has Internet Explorer (which is really laggy), and only lets us use Bing as a searchpage.
That is the only reason I hate my school.
