I didn't...I grew up without a father so I couldn't feel any feels about losing a father, which was the main focus ( I guess ) on her story

I very nearly lost my dad when I was 9 due to a workplace accident. And had his accident happened 20min earlier, the doctor on duty would have ordered his whole right leg amputated. And had my dad's reaction time been a half-second slower, he wouldn't be here at all. So I can partly relate to the story. However it's mostly about those people that won't take chances on people because they are afraid of losing them. They don't want to be hurt. In her case, again.
