i remember when youtube had star ratings... i miss that..
I don't feel bad about torrenting. The band get precisely jack shit from record sales; their income is from merchandise and concert ticket sales. The record executives are the only people making any real money off record sales, and considering some of the bullshit practices they use, I have no problem screwing them over.
I still buy CDs. Always prefer having the hard copy, and reading the liner notes and shit. Jack Owen of Deicide actually thanks a church in his thanks on the "To Hell With God" album, and I have a Heidevolk album where they miss printed a photo of the guitarist. so it's the same picture for the two guitarists in the band. little things like that make it worth it for me.
I eventually got too lazy to download it.
Is this rock bottom?

the artist already makes tons of money with concerts and shit like that, by downloading music illegally from the internet you are hurting absolutely no one.
Well, if you can get the highest quality video/music, for free, then go for it

I never torrent music, let alone download them on I tunes, I always go down to town and buy the CD's, because the whole experience is way more fun and you can almost display your music collection at home, so when I found out that digital downloading and torrents were causing CD's to become obsolete, I was fuming...
