BACKWARDS COMPATIBILITY FOR THE PS1 AND 2 HERE WE COME

I could care less about the backwards compatibility for the PS3

Actually, the reason why they took that feature out was because it costs extra to install backwards compatibility.

Only a small proportion of PS3 users actually play PS2 or PS1 games, so they lowered the cost of the PS3 by uninstalling the feature, so more people can afford the PS3, and it'd satisfy more people.

It's not because of that, it's the fact that my PS2's broken and my PS3 is not. If my PS3 was broken then I'd buy the PS4 to play the PS3 games all over again.

I own that game and played the fuck out of it. Together with gta san andreas my favourite game ever. Did they ever make newer ssx games apart from ssx on tour? It's not that I'm tired of the PS2. I just don't have time to play it since I'm on my dorm al the time. I thought I could make someone happy with it.

A new SSX came out february last year. I almost counted days since november 2010. I have never been let down as much as then. Well, some may find it good, but it didn't feel anything like 3 and Tricky.

It's called just SSX, like the first game. It is not a remake though, it was originally called SSX: Deadly Descents, but it got so much hate. YouTube it.

Agreed. I am so excited for it, especially all the Vita support they're talking about since I already own one of those. What really sold me on it was the fact that Bungie's Destny isn't an Xbox exclusive. PS4 seems so awesome.

i know i love bungie and halo and i'm so glad they are finally making a game for PlayStation and the only negative is the share button but i was fucking amazed when they said about being able to help a friend out online for them!

I don't know, I kind of liked the share button. It just depends on what they do with it, I guess. I love Bungie as well, and my assumption that Destiny wouldn't be on any console that wasn't Microsoft owned was my only concern about the PS4. That and the price.

I actually don't mind those things so long as they don't take up too much screen space. They could even use the new touch pad so you could swipe it away if you didn't wish to respond immediately. Wait, did they actually announce a price?

Oh I'm sorry, I read the pound sign as the euro sign and got excited. From what I'm finding they haven't announced a price, but $600 does sound about right. And yeah, totally worth it.

The PS3 was 100 dollars lower at the release, I should buy it when it drops down to around $490-

nah no price for ps4 yet but they said that they wanted it to be less than the ps3's original price. that and not many will buy it if its over 399$

I feel the need to go play Syphon Filter, Gex, Legend of Dragoon, Army Men, Crash Bandicoot, Driver, the fucking nostalgia

I had a baby sitter who was god tier at Driver. Watching him 100% that game was a privledge even though I never had the urge to play it.

I never beat it. As a kid I couldn't even get past the first part of the story mode. My life pretty much revolved around Syphon Filter 2 and Army Men:Sarge's Heros.

The only time I ever played Bad Fur Day or Live and Reloaded was at a friends house

Gex was at an alternative friends house

and every kid in the neighborhood took turns playing 4-player Halo Combat Evolved and Halo 2

Never had an Xbox, just my PS1, NES, as SNES and PS2 but I preferred PS1.

That and I always was drooling over my friend's dreamcast.

I owned a Gamecube, XBOX, and PS2. I exclusively played Sonic Heroes and Shadow the Hedgehog at 120 FPS on my Gamecube

Then for my PS2 it was Spyro 3, Crash Wrath of Cortex, and GTA 3

XBOX was Grabbed by the Ghoulies, Halo, Halo 2, and Nitro Kart

If you buy PSASBR for the PS3 and you already own the Vita they give you the physical game for free instead of having to buy the Vita then buying the game seperatly.

Only spinoff's I played were Crash Tag-Team Racing for the PS1 when I was in "The Hole" (Valley of the Moon Foster Home)

and Crash Nitro Kart for the XBOX which is the greatest racing game since Double Dash for the Gamecube. AND IT HAS A PLOT AND IS HARD AS FUCK!

Wrath of cortex certainly wasn't bad, it had a lot of variety, I agree with you there. Tag team racing was also very good, I'm not sure why people say Twinsanity was the dead-end

Console exclusive games when they finally go multi platform sometimes you end up getting the bastardized port (like Dark Souls on the PC)

Nobody played this on the Gamecube or XBOX. You played the PS2 version that went at 120 FPS.

Christ, I learned this all too late when I played rainbow six vegas 2 on the ps3. Not necessarily a fan of shooters (although I enjoyed vegas a LOT) it's enough to give you trust issues.

It's still Crash Bandicoot! Break every box you get a Gem collect all the Gem's you get an alternate boss fight and ending

Collect all the Crystals and you get the Canonical Boss fight and ending.

What they did to tiny's voice is criminal. It went from very deep and stupid sounding to high pitched like he sucked an entire canister of helium.

WoW wouldn't work on a console unless they completely remade the game. There are far too many keybinds for a controller.

After? The Vita's only been around for a year. Granted they haven't done much for it by way of marketing but that's true of all their consoles. Sony always has a slow start to their hardware, and it really is their marketing division that kills it. Their hardware is great, they have a lot of great exclusives, etc., but there are still people who don't know about the Vita, and that is where they fail.

I think what they're doing is trying to make a model that they can sell more cheaply, but you're right in the fact that they really need to focus on games first. The second LBP or Gravity Rush? If you mean Gravity Rush, me too, man, me too.

I feel that the conference was mainly to tell people that yes the console is coming, but also to inform people of its capabilities. In my opinion, they should leave the model of the PS4 to the very end, because at the end of the day, its the hardware and features that really matter, not how the console looks.
