PC:
Upgrade when you feel like it for the amount you can afford
Backwards comparability with everything from the last 30 years, even other platforms
No extra charge for online play, just pay your internet bill as usual
Every controller imaginable, you just need the correct drivers and possibly an adaptor
Right to brag about your superiority (like I am doing now)

Let me tell you console guys, you are really missing something.

You are right, I am missing a lot of money to get a PC that can actually play games.

>Implying that consoles don't have good resolution ever

Play Battlefield 3 on an HDTV, and then try telling me that consoles have bad resolution.
User avatar #62 to #54 - entroper (02/22/2013) [-]
Actually BF3 runs at 1280 x 704 on 360, and ps3 just below standard hd resolution. meaning it stretches the smaller image to fill the whole screen space. I could connect my pc to my computer and have pixel for pixel 1080p resolution easly at 60fps. instead of 30 like most console games run at.

connect PC to my TV *

With the correct cables you can play computer games on the right tv.

Playing computer games never felt so right.
User avatar #77 to #57 - pawnman (02/22/2013) [-]
But you need to make sure the TV has a good refresh rate. Your computer may get 60 fps but your TV may not show as much or freak out if there is too much happening on screen but quickly go back to normal.

That's true.

I'm PROUD to be the guy that doesn't give a crap and plays all of them.

This picture implies PC Games don't have auto aimers amongst other things.
User avatar #79 to #24 - pawnman (02/22/2013) [-]
I have never played a game on the PC that has an auto aim option.

Inform me one if you please.
User avatar #80 to #79 - grumpythefirst (02/22/2013) [-]
I didn't say auto aim function, I said aim botters. Its a hack.
User avatar #82 to #80 - pawnman (02/22/2013) [-]
I just never hear it put as Auto aimers, because autoaim is an option on console games.
User avatar #81 to #80 - pawnman (02/22/2013) [-]
Oh no. You mean AimBotters and wall hackers. Yeah some PC games have more of them than others. but mostly because it is either an easy game to hack with a poor anti cheat system or a developer that is just not caring enough to do anything about it.

This mostly occurs in free to play games with cheap gimmicks to keep people playing.

But good games with developers who care, that actually like the game they make and love to play them, do all they can to keep hackers from cracking their game. and those games barely, if ever get any hackers.

But if you do run into hackers it is very easy to just leave the frustration of running into them by just joining another trusted server, or just play with friends on local dedicated servers you don't have to pay for.

But xbox and play station also have hackers as well. It's just something you deal with no matter what you play on.
User avatar #83 to #81 - grumpythefirst (02/22/2013) [-]
I know. But as my first post said, the picture implied PC gamers don't have to deal with that, but they do.
User avatar #84 to #83 - pawnman (02/22/2013) [-]
ya i know what you mean, i was just fleshing it out

Plus games are cheaper, thats always nice
User avatar #8 to #4 - infamoustrapper (02/21/2013) [-]
wat. it doesnt always have backwards comparability. most games past 10 years ago don't work on the newer systems.
#9 to #8 - lordlolland (02/21/2013) [-]
Um, ever heard of emulation or perhaps virtual machines?
I am frequently playing games that are older than 15 years, on a machine that is less than 3 years old.
If you know how to read, there are many idiot-proof guides on how to make just about any game, be it console or old pc, work on your pc.

Guldkorn Expressen on Win7 FTW!

oh well thanks! i was actually unaware. but mainly i was referring to games that are around the 1999-2004 range. because those are the games i played when i was a kid and i rebuy them but then they dont work anymore. can these "guides" or whatever some how make them work? i dont see how they would

Totally have to agree here, PC rules, free games, mouse to aim, upgrades are not always half of a paycheck, better graphics now, even better later on, consoles stay the same
Im proud of being a PC gamer
