I most certainly don't think fat people are disgusting, but it looks like this woman in the picture is really morbidly obese. She can try to lose weight, she'll most certainly be a lot more attractive.

I'm aware that she might stay overweight forever, like a lot of people are, but being that fat? You can do something about that.
I understand the point about your friends eating healthy and still being overweight (I have the same problem) but being overweight like the woman in the picture is something that you can overcome, though it probably won't be easy and she'll probably never reach the "ideal" weight, but she'll be much closer to it. Losing weight is always harder than gaining it.

I support your general point though: it's pretty rude to judge and immeadiately dislike people for being overweight, wether they're only slightly chubby or really obese.

It might be incredibly unappealing/disgusting to you, but it's still an opinion. I'm not trying to tell you how to think or anything, and I understand your reasoning.

But they can't help it that they're fat if it comes from genes, right? (I'm not talking about the people who eat unhealthy and sit in their couch all day, because I agree on that, that's pretty unappealing.) I mean there are a lot of people I know that are attractive, even though they're overweight. You can still look pretty if you're chubby. It's a matter of wearing the right clothes, doing your hair in a way that's considered pretty, wear good make-up (in the case of girls, obviously.) Take Adele for example. I know she used to be fatter, but she's not unattractive right? Even though she's lost some weight now, she's still overweight and she's a beautiful woman.

The survival of the fittest is really no longer applied to this day and age in the meaning you're describing, I believe. It's now more or less about money, power and intelligence. Theg more money/power you have, the more chance the you of procreating.

Stating that being overweight is a disability is also quite offensive to people who actually have a disability, like being blind or having no legs. Being morbidly obese is a disability, I agree with you there. But being chubby or just a bit overweight? Not so sure about that.

Okay I notice your idea of a disability is very broad. The way you explain it it indeed comes across as a disability, but I believe it's kind of a misinterpretation of the word. A disability is something permanent, and something that has severe consequences on your life. Breaking your leg might have that a effect for a while, but it'll heal. (It's debatable, I understand. "What if the leg doesn't heal correctly?" "What if it gets infected and they have to amputate it?" etc. But those are extreme cases and quite rare)
Does being chubby hinder your ability to do things? You might not be the fastest runner or do the most push ups, but there are healthy people who can't do that as well. Is not excercising a disability in your eyes then as well? (I'm being serious here, it's a genuine question out of curiousity)

Also I'm wondering now, what is your perception of fat? Does chubby count as fat? When is someone chubby in your opinion? If someone has a big butt or a more rounded belly, do you consider that person fat then? What about people who don't really exercise and are soft?
