My city.

Large enough to have two other cities completely within it.

And larger than Boston, Manhattan, and San Francisco combined. At least in total area.

Also one of the few US cities north of Canada.

You from East Michigan? I'm from the West.

Yep. Madison Heights. Right where 75 and 696 cross.

Nice. I live in Muskegon, and it's a half-hour walk/five-minute drive to see Lake Michigan.

Dude, there's so much ******* snow here right now. Why it didn't come in the middle of the night I don't know. I would've loved it.

Heh. Not much here. Just a **** ton of wind.
User avatar #144 to #143 - keiishiyama (02/20/2013) [-]
Yep, I felt plenty of that while I was shoveling my driveway. I could go on and on about how much I hate wind and ice, but I'd run that river dry (or have it frozen over) in no time.

But the snow and general cold temperatures don't bother me at all. I love this state.

Same here. Cold itself doesn't really bother me. Wind sucks. Especially during work. I'm outside half the time.

What do you do?

(I'm a jobless high school senior)

Assistant Manager of a U-Haul.

Might get bumped up to Manager fairly soon.

Congratulations and good luck, then.

Yeah, I can't imagine how hellish a U-Haul boy's time would be over here. Black ice was everywhere snow wasn't.

i may be just missing something or is it a typo but how is Detroit north of Canada?
User avatar #115 to #111 - kerfufflemachtwo ONLINE (02/20/2013) [-]
You see that chunk of land just below it? That's Windsor. A Canadian city.
#120 to #115 - conroyjonez (02/20/2013) [-]
Oh i see, you just meant the 49th parallel. What you meant was "the only city north of the Canadian border". Thanks for clarifying, im Canadian and was confused.
User avatar #121 to #120 - kerfufflemachtwo ONLINE (02/20/2013) [-]
No, I meant one of the only US cities north of Canada. Windsor, Ontario is south of Detroit. Therefore, Detroit is North of a part of Canada.
#123 to #121 - conroyjonez (02/20/2013) [-]
you just said it yourself, north of a PART of Canada. Saying "north of Canada" would imply that Detroit is in the Arctic Circle.
User avatar #127 to #123 - kerfufflemachtwo ONLINE (02/20/2013) [-]
Well, I didn't mean the 49th parallel, either.
#129 to #127 - conroyjonez (02/20/2013) [-]
true i looked at a map and relised my stupidity on the 49th parallel comment.

Ah.

All's well, then.

You're from Detroit and you haven't moved? Do you require assistance?
User avatar #112 to #110 - kerfufflemachtwo ONLINE (02/20/2013) [-]
Technically, I live two miles north of it. So, just the metro area.

Also, I work for U-Haul, so I don't need help moving.
