I don't understand as to what people not ripping on apple anymore has to do with his opinion? How should that change his opinion...

That's because we've given up since nothing is going to change by bitchin' about it.

u should just accept the inevitable. everyone is going to go mac eventually
User avatar #20 to #17 - killerliquid ONLINE (02/21/2013) [-]
Lol, nope. There's still a ******** more programs that are compatible for Windows and anyone can get a better computer than a mac for the same price.
User avatar #21 to #20 - zapgod (02/23/2013) [-]
You can get a computer with better specs a lot cheaper but I wouldn't go as far as to say a "better computer"

Ok *cracks knuckles*
Just so you know I love all computers Mac and PC but I am a Apple certified Product professional and I work at an apple store.

The main difference between a Mac and PC are the obvious. Software and hardware. Wile a PC is made up of hardware made from dozens of different companies. Which all work together with code and software that has to be in a sense "loose" in order for these different components to communicate. Which makes the software susceptible to viruses, freezes, crashes, ect. These make a "cheap" computer, cause all of these components were chosen to save the manufacturer money and increase profit for them.
While Mac computers all hardware and software were designed and created by the one in the same company. Which means that they work together so well it hardly gets viruses and rarely crash or fail. Not to mention the hardware is of top quality and the software is simple and has a fluid almost natural flow to it while Windows is more blocky or robotic in feeling and more complicated than it needs to be.. Now I grant that more programs run on windows than Mac but over the past few years I've seen that gap grow smaller and smaller. However I agree the price sucks... A lot

Though, I don't know too much about computer hardware, I'll assume that part is all correct. Although the reason why there are more virus attacks on Windows computers is probably because most people do have a Windows PC and some viruses are targeted towards governments that use Windows. I get what you're saying though.

Ill explain it this way. A Mac is like a group of brothers, who've worked together since they were born, building a house and they know each other so well they know what the other is trying to accomplish easily. While a PC is like a group of people building a house and they have never met each other before and they all speak different languages. Which one do you think a virus could penetrate easier and which one seems to have the highest rate of success? One gets the job done quicker and smoother without anything going wrong while the other has way more obstacles to overcome.

If you have enough experience then everything on a PC should go smoothly. If you have a lot of security on your PC you should be fine. But yea I do get that a Mac would be better suited for working (unless the programs you need are suited more to PC anyway)

Well for example I'm working on my masters in Creative Media. A Mac is the industry standard for my line of work anyway.

Yep, the quality of the monitors are top-notch, it's the reason why my brother (who is in graphic design) is saving up for one.
User avatar #29 to #28 - zapgod (02/23/2013) [-]
It also has to do with the adobe software that runs much easier and smoother on a Mac.
