Original Jabba
User avatar #52 to #50 - tkfourtwoone (02/19/2013) [-]
Yep, that's why it now become ironic to hear "Jabba, you're a wonderful human being"

If John Williams did not compose the music for Star Wars, I believe it would only have a FRACTION of the popularity it has today. John Williams is a legend. His Star Wars musical compositions made the movie seem more realistic than, dare I say, anything else.

Star Trek inspired the invention of the tablet, cell phone, invisible aluminum, jet injector (hypospray), stun guns, portable translation apps/devices and thats just the tip of the ice berg. Suck it starwars.
User avatar #46 to #42 - thatguywhohasbacon (02/19/2013) [-]
Stun guns were made by Jack Cover, the first prototype was in the 1960-early 70's before star trek even existed, it was inspired by the story "Thomas A. Swift's electric rifle", a story Cover enjoyed.

So that's where they got Starkiller from in The Force Unleashed, interdasting
User avatar #40 - OminousDemon (02/19/2013) [-]

didn't They use the scars from the car accident to shoot the bacta tank scene from episode V?
User avatar #54 to #38 - tkfourtwoone (02/19/2013) [-]
No, they used the wampa attack scene as a plot excuse for his change in appearance.
User avatar #55 to #54 - wiinor (02/19/2013) [-]
Ah, I knew it had something to do with hoth. Thx

User avatar #29 to #28 - acidtrunks (02/19/2013) [-]
the 14th would be in the second or third week, not the 4th
User avatar #30 to #29 - commentking (02/19/2013) [-]

User avatar #31 to #30 - acidtrunks (02/19/2013) [-]

I know a lot about the lore behind star wars, but not so much about the technical stuff behind the movies and franchise
#19 - riefenstahl (02/19/2013) [-]
Sissy Spacek's fact has a better explanation: both Carrie's and Star Wars' castings where made at the same time in the same place. I think Lucas and De Palma were good friends at the time.
User avatar #18 - ctenop (02/18/2013) [-]
Should of released it 10 days before his birthday....may the 4th be with you...
User avatar #17 - inoland (02/18/2013) [-]
Luke's original last name was starkiller.

Starkiller was the name given to the apprentice in the Force Unleashed (between episodes III and IV),

Mind blown.

User avatar #15 to #14 - Crusader ONLINE (02/18/2013) [-]
And why did he create it?
User avatar #22 to #15 - taintedangel (02/19/2013) [-]
He started it in response to what he thought was an inevitable, self-destructive fighting within the Sith order.
#20 to #15 - HEYGUYS (02/19/2013) [-]
because the sith were losing power, he created it in order to force the sith to get stronger as the apprentice must be stronger than the mast to kill him.
User avatar #21 to #20 - Crusader ONLINE (02/19/2013) [-]
Well kinda sorta
He did it to consolidate the power the sith had, the problem was that there could be hundred of sith lords at any given time and they would fight each other, look at the Triumvirate, or Naga Sadow vs Ludo Kressh
They had immense power, but it was spread out, it was to stop the sith from killing each other.
