Okay, because I honestly want to know: who all on here plays or has played some form of Dungeons and Dragons? I don't care for the thumbs, I just want to talk about your in-game and out-of-game experiences with it. What realms have you played in? Do you DM? What do you typically play as? Does the campaign you're in get serious or is it funny? Come on, lets talk!

Yeah I use to play D & D many years ago when I was in like 6th grade. I'm old now so we are talking old D & D.

It was a lot more simple, and a lot harder.

For example: My friend was a Wizard and for many, many levels all he could do was shoot Magic Missile out of his staff that did 1d4 damage.

An enemy sheet back then would read as the following: Kobold = Small goblin like creature has 10 hit points and does 1d6 damage.

I was at Borders Books the other day and I opened a D & D Monster Manual and my head was spinning at how much one character sheet had one it.

i used to play Ad&d, still have the books. it was alot harder on the dm because there were no skills and/or feats, the DM basucally made up all the scored needed for rolls

Yeah and I think one of the reasons why D & D today is so detailed leaving no room for the DM to make **** up is because 9 out of 10 games would trigger big arguments about who is right.

Depending on your DM, ours tells us to roll a d20, if you roll it you get to be force sensitive but still need to seek out training. It is fun to play a bunch of normal-ish people though.

But it kinda sucked because the only person that got it could barely move a can across a room. Also persuasion rocks if you know how to use it right.

Nope, just convincing other people, I finished off a Jedi and walked out of a base with a Rebel escort while working for the Empire because of it.

No clue, I don't DM and I don't even know what they're called, I'll try to get back to you with the names.

Not all that long, we play Magic the Gathering too so it gets a little side tracked quite a lot so we haven't played in a while either.
