hasnt been announced. smart money's on normal type. or flying......lots of rumors saying it might be a whole new type as well. "light"....not that I think thats likely.

There're two new types, Light and Sound, if I've heard correctly.

light and sound make no sense, would mean a total redesign of many sound based pokemon such as loudred and chatot, and light makes no sense because psychic is a counterpart to dark

Don't understand the red thumbs but whatever- I was simply restating what I've heard, that being that the two new types are Light and Sound, I never once claimed that to be fact. If you were paying attention, I said "if I've heard correctly."

They've changed what moves Pokemon can learn every generation so I don't think they couldn't add new types.

You mean like the "total redesign" when they made magnemite and magneton steel

or the one where they made Articuno, cloyster, jynx, lapras, and dewgong ice?

Ghost used to be the foil to psychic, now it's dark AND ghost, same with ice and grass, now both fire and ice beat grass

Literally the only difference will be that dark and some other type will have another weakness, and even more types will have something to do extra damage to.

It's entirely possible for them to add new types, they've done it before

Except Steel and Dark came in Gen 2, not Gen 6, when there were only 151 previous Pokemon, not more than 600.

In addition, not only was Ice-Type in Gen 1, but all of those Pokemon you just listed were Ice-Type in Gen 1.

They added steel and dark but that was in Gen 2 when only a few pokemon from gen 1 had to be retconned into being steel or dark. If they added 2 new types at gen 6 then 5 gens of pokemon would be affected. Not gonna happen.

so does our point. the last time they added a new type they changed a grand total of 3 items. just 3. Magnemite, Magneton, and Bite, and people still got upset at the retcon. just think of all the pokemon who could be a "light type". pretty much any normal type (clefairy ect) or psychic type could potentially have there type changed. hundreds of pokemon, (not to mention moves) would have to be changed. people who do tournaments might lose star members of their team due to new type weaknesses not to mention some sort of in-game backstory as to why no one noticed this before.

Moves yes. But they've never changed something on this scale before. How would you explain that in game? You can't compare Pokemon learning different moves to retconing 14 years of Pokemon.

I'm not sure, to be honest, but my guess would be Fighting and Normal-types. I don't really know anything about them, other than that they're supposed to be the new types and the new eeveelution is a Light-type.

Toxic can be taught by any Pokemon that can learn through TM's.
Sludge Bomb can be taught to many different types of Pokemon.

I'm not a fan of pokemon.

Bug, Rock, Ghost, Dragon, Steel, Normal, Poison, Ground, Flying. None of these have Eeveelutions. Well. One of them does. And its Sylveon.

Special types - Fire, Grass, Water, Ice, Electric, Psychic, Dark, Dragon

The missing link.

I sure hope the other one isn't as gay as this.
