These comments, they really show how the internet works. There was a time when everybody loved Smosh, people praised them on their hilariousness, but now that they have the most subscribers on Youtube, a lot of people on this site hate them, it seems the more popular you are, the more the internet hates you.
Obviously, this doesn't apply to everyone, some people didn't like them to begin with, but they were the ones getting red thumbed no more than 3 years ago.

I disagree I think the type of humor we like has changed.
just look at RWJ in the paste he was a funny guy.
making jokes etc. now i can't even describe the hatred I have against him.
stealing video's, using jokes from the mid 80s, being a douchebag.
Smosh never grew up with us when we were young. they just kept focused on the young teens which they entertained when we were young. that's why we can describe a lot of there jokes as childish

I love metal, my favorite metal band is tool, and before all I listened to was metal and rock (including subgenres and their sub genres) which made me hate all rap and Lil Wayne. I'm not trying to change you, I'm just saying don't let your opinions be influenced stictly on your beliefs and what you've heard, Wayne even said something along the lines of "evaluate before you make an opinion"
Trust me, if I let FunnyJunk's opinions change mine, then I would probably hate most of the music I listen to. I listen to a lot of bands in the sub-genres of Metal, and we both know the Metal community on FunnyJunk is a bunch of Eliteists.
Popularity makes people hate you in most cases, but sometimes it makes you lose your edge.
Look at Fred for example. Look at his older videos, and for that time they were hilarious. Look at his new videos and they are dumbed down because he got so many fans that were children.

This is true, another example is Pewdiepie, back when you used to play genuine horror games that made me, a member of the audience, scream and jump up, but after he hit 1 million subs the horror games he played were meh at best and the rest of videos just started to get annoying and his jokes were way too forced.
In any case, I don't think the same thing happened to Smosh, though I haven't watched some of their newest stuff, most of it is pretty similar in humour.
