lol...american pride. how shameful

1. No free healthcare. if you have one of the common everyday ailments that forbids you from being able to get private healthcover, or you can't afford it. your government leaves you to die!!!
2. The worst education system in the western world which leaves more school leavers innumerate and/or illiterate than any other developed western country.
3. Higher crime rates and murder rates per percentage of population than any other developed country in the world.
4. Even in the current climate, it has the worst Economy on record, and cant even sustain its own national debt to itself, let alone the 7 trillion dollars owed to china.
5. It calls itself a superpower, and claims to have the best armed forces in the world (but hasn't won a single war since the civil war over 200 years ago). how was vietnam? you called yourself superpower?
6. Has the highest percentage per population in the developed world of people living below the poverty line You may look big america but everybody in the world know you are just as weak as the third world countries.
7. check out your iphone, it was made in china. you are not only borrow money, you are importing stuff from china, you can't even develop your own economy, resources.

While America has it's faults a lot of your facts are at best untrue and at worst ******** . The education comment, was unfortunately spot on. For Healthcare I advise you to take a look at Statistics for cancer survivors in England. Their 5 year survival rate is abysmal compared to The US. Also I have family friends from England. 300 dollars a month to the Government for healthcare isn't exactly ideal for the level of care provided. Canada isn't much better. And we have free clinics that help treat basic illnesses as well as hundred of charities that aid low income families. A lot of poverty doesn't come from a broken system, it comes from people who neglect to take the necessary measures to get the things they need or provide for their family. A lot of that goes back to the education system. And Poverty line? Really? Citation needed my friend. You need to login to view this link ng
And how many IPhone users are there in Europe? I'd guess quite a lot. Let's see, Vietnam. That's low and you know it. That was due to the president at that time interfering and making decisions based off of the opinions of people who had never been in the military. I'm not much for American Nationalism myself, but check your sources dude. Find some balls and log in if you want to put your opinions out there.

1. Can't debate about healthcare as I do not know much about that situation
2. We actually have the best colleges in the world.
3. Lel. Nope.
4. You do know that over 90% of the US's national debt is to its own citizens, right?
5. World War II. Also the fact that we haven't really started or been declared a war against, we're just involving ourselves in conflicts, so stuff like the Viet. War or the Iraq war don't really count as much.
6. No.
7. Who designs the technology though? We just send it over to China to get them to put the parts together, not to design the actual ******* device. Also, LOL you're using an iPhone as an example? Either way, iPhone's are ****** devices

usa has a really god education system, with top of the range schools like yale and harvard

africa has the highest murder rate

they have the biggest army in the world and are on of the few to carry nuclear bombs

everything is made in china because of taxes and workforce, chinese people work for less money for more hours and the goverment doesnt demand such high taxes
User avatar #452 to #443 - thatguyontheright (02/17/2013) [-]
So is the only solution 0% tax on corporations, and removal of wage laws to make America a competitive nation for cheap labor? Because that sounds like a horrible idea.

Any company that outsourced has had issues with recalls due to fault in the device or the use of an illegal manufacturing substance in the product; i.e. Lead. You can't get skilled labor for cheap.

"everything is made in china because of taxes and workforce, chinese people work for less money for more hours and the goverment doesnt demand such high taxes "

besides, taxes is a moot reason as they are the lowest they have been in half a century.

Taxes are the lowest they've been in half a century? Do you know how many hundreds of pages have been added to the tax code in the last 8 years? Look up the death tax and then come try and talk about taxes
User avatar #442 to #428 - profarnsworth ONLINE (02/17/2013) [-]
1. Free healthcare requires larger taxes. Whenever anyone tries to raise taxes in America people throw a **** fit.
2. You contradict yourself, "worst education system in the western world........ than any other developed western country." While the US education system is not as good as it should be we still rank 7th in the world for the percentage of people in the country who hold a college degree. 9th for percentage of people who have a highschool degree. That is in the World not just the "western world".
3. Mexico, Brazil, North Korea are all developed countries who have much higher crime and murder rate than the U.S.
4. Greece. Also while we do have the highest debt out of any country in the world, our % of GDP is 105 significantly lower than many other countries. UK (390), Netherlands (344), Iceland (999), France (Who are second in the world in debt, 182). What does this mean? It means that while we do have a large amount of debt we make enough money where we can pay most of it back unlike these countries above.
5. It? You are referring to a country as a single entity, who is uneducated again? The U.S. does have one of the best armed forces in the world. Who has a better one than us? Also the U.S. government probably has technology far superior to any other country sitting in the shadows in case of emergency. Just like they had the Blackbird in the 1960's which was more advanced than anyone could have imagined at the time. Do not doubt the U.S. military and what they have in their closet. The U.S. has been on the winning side of multiple wars since 1865. WWI, WWII, Spanish-American War, Gulf War.
6. Take a good long hard look at India buddy.
7. Check your pathetic technology, it sure as hell wasn't made it your country either. Everything EVERYONE uses is made in china. Still sold by american companies. Tell me of your countries great companies that revolutionize technology year after year.

We have the most debt. Our economy on the other hand is one of the most efficient there is. If it wasn't for our stupid ******* idiots in power also known as politicians. We would have the strongest economy ever. That and we have a really corrupt government at the moment.

So, who won WW1 and WW2?
#466 to #433 - jokerbit (02/17/2013) [-]
For world war one America came late to the war so you can't say that they single handily won. As for world war two it was a joint effort of the allies that won that war and america still came late to the war. Not bashing nations or anything but facts are facts.

Outside comment: America LOST the war, so did Germany, England, etc. All of them endend up with the same Debt Based Bank System Hitler kicked out of Germany, which DIRECTLY made Germany the most affordable, economic super power of the region. Hence all the jews ran to live there. They were illegal immigrants and placed in detention centers, which via BANK PROPAGANDA became 'concentration camps'... And the rest of the lies spread from there... No one won the war except for the Currency Printers who Disperse Debt Based Loan Notes, your's and my current dollars.

******** , WW2 was a standoff between America and Russia. The only reason britain and Europe was not under Russian rule was because of the US. If you do not know about the cold war then you are a dumbass.

WW1 was won by no one. Technically it was a ******* draw. I hate ******* stupid european ***** for making Germany seem so evil when they are the ********* that put the blame only on Germany when it was everyone's fault.

Also the fact IT WAS A DRAW KIND OF MAKES IT OBVIOUS WHAT SHOULD OF HAPPENED.
User avatar #446 to #438 - profarnsworth ONLINE (02/17/2013) [-]
WW2 was not a standoff between the US and Russia. It was a war that started between Germany and France. The US eventually intervened after Germany accidentally attacked a U.S. ship killing civilians. It ended when a combination of US and Russian forces took berlin. You are right about the cold war being a standoff between the US and Russia, we cannot safely say that Europe would be under Russian rule but Germany surely would have been.

WW1 was won by allied forces of U.S., France, and UK. Where you are somewhat right is that for most of the war it was a "draw" because both forces gave and took land but never really got anywhere. Eventually Germany had to agree to a cease-fire due to the fact that they could no longer continue fighting the war. While it seemed like a draw the allied forces were able to stop the Central powers which was the plan. Which technically resulted in an allied victory.

Do your research, germany was very much to blame. They influenced their allies to get into conflicts so they could accomplish what they wanted. However you are right where they are were to blame for making alliances and forcing so much tension in europe. But Germany had set into motion the events that would lead to even more tension and eventually their influence led serbia to declare war, which started everything.
#486 to #446 - anonymous (02/17/2013) [-]
Germany backed Austria because archduke ferdinand was assassinated. This was the main reason the war started in WW1. The allied forces back the guys who assassinated archduke ferdinand thus resulting in a War. YEAH i bet it was Germany's ******* fault. It was definitely their ******* fault yep your so ******* right. That was sarcasm btw since im sure you can't comprehend that.

I was saying the result of the war in ww2 was what I said. Sorry for calling you this, but your a ******** for not realizing that. Even dumber for not realizing that Russia would have no one to stop them from taking over Europe if it wasn't for USA.

Also, learn your history about World War 1 and you will see why it was a draw period. No one won that war, there is no technicalities involved with them winning. The only technicality was that it was a draw.

All my sources and credibility come from a teacher who had a major in History. He taught me alot about why things happened and the technicalities of those things.
User avatar #492 to #486 - profarnsworth ONLINE (02/17/2013) [-]
First off **** head im a history major myself. I have 1 semester left before i get my bachelors. Second i have taken classes solely focused on WWI and WWII. I have read countless books and done numerous hours of research on these two wars. I didn't get my facts from some teacher i had in highschool. I got my facts from books written by people with their ******* doctorates in history you little **** . Go back and ask your teacher what i am about to tell you and he will tell you i'm right.

Germany was allied with Austria waaaaaaaaaay before Ferdinand was assassinated. Do you know why? No you probably don't. The king of Germany at the time was Wilhelm II who was cousins with King George V of England and Tsar Nicolas II of Russia and a **** ton of other leaders of European countries. Now what you need to know is this. Nobody liked or took poor Wilhelm serious. The only person he liked was Ferdinand and so they became close friends. Ferdinand became next in line to the Austria throne when the kings son died. However Ferdinand decided to marry a woman who the king did not approve of so he basically cut Ferdinand off. When he was assassinated the king didn't even give a **** . The person who was really upset was Wilhelm because ferdinand was his best friend. But even Wilhelm knew that starting a war would be disastrous. However wilhelms miltary leaders wanted any reason to go to war with France. Because they saw France as a threat (France supported Russia by giving them money to advance their economy and become a major world power. Russia wanted Serbia as a way to advance their trade to the mediterranean being as their only port is St. Petersburg which freezes over 6 months out of the year.) along with Russia. Since France and Russia were allies Germany felt surrounded and ultimately allied with Austria/Hungry. When Ferdinand was assassinated Wilhelms military advisors saw this as a chance for them to go to war with France. Look up who declared war on who and when.
User avatar #493 to #492 - profarnsworth ONLINE (02/17/2013) [-]
But like i was saying Wilhelm and the rest of the European countries knew going to war was stupid as **** . Because if one country declared war they would all get pulled in because of the alliances they all stupidly made. So Germany being the sneaky ***** they were told Austria to send a set of requests to Serbia that they had to fulfil for killing Ferdinand. However Germany and Austria both knew that Serbia would not be able to fulfil these requests which would give Austria a reason to declare war. Which would then force France to declare war on Germany which would allow Germany to declare war on France and Russia. Had it not been for Britains intervention France would have been crushed easily by Germany. Which was exactly what happened for a long time. They destroyed most of France, which is why the French were so pissed off and put all the blame on Germany.

The result of WWII was not at all what you said. WWII didnt ******* end because the U.S. and Russia had a stand off. Who the **** told you that? The stand off happened AFTER THE WAR. When everyone decided what would happen to Germany. The U.S. knew russia would try and take control of the country and spread communism. Americans saw communism as a threat so they knew they had to make a stand. The war ended because the combination of U.S./British/French forces had surrounded berlin at the same time that Russian forces did and they were slowly forcing their way to the capital. The Nazi regime could do nothing but give up. The Russians would have taken over Germany for sure. However Britain and France would have started another war to prevent it from spreading any farther. Sure the smaller countries might have gotten gobbled up but the bigger ones would have fought too. It was not definite that communism would have spread all across europe. It was just feared that it would.

Finally there is no such ******* thing as a war ending in a draw you thick child. There is always a winner and a loser. There is no such thing as a draw in real life you ******* retard. Sure after everyone dug trenches and hunkered down no one did any major movements. However it became a war of attrition which the allied forces eventually won. Germany began having problems internally and way before that Austria/Hungry gave up. Germany knew they couldn't hold out on their own anymore so they surrendered as well. Why the **** do you think the Paris Peace Conference was run by the U.S., France, Britain, and Italy? BECAUSE THEY ******* WON! If it was a tie then Germany and Austria would have been able to make demands of their own. Since they LOST they had to accept what punishment the allies dished out. WINNERS AND LOSERS.

FINALLY. What kind of a ******* retard are you to think that a teacher is a credible source? They **** up their facts just as much as anyone else. I'll give you the BOOKS that i read this information in. Which are 1000000x more credible than your ******* teacher kid.

1. Macmillan, Margaret. Paris 1919, Six Months That Changed The World
2. McCullough, Edward E. How The First World War Began
3. Herwig, Holger H. The First World War: Germany and Austria-Hungary 1914-1918
4. Keegan, John. The first World War; An Illustrated History.
5. Adamthwaite, Anthony P. The Making of the Second World War.
6. Weinberg, Gerhard L. A World at Arms: A Global History of World War II.

And tons of other books i've used and had to read on these two subjects. **** my damn undergrad thesis was on the paris peace conference and how it directly led to Germany, Italy, and Japan allying.
