Apollo 18 was fucking terrible.
The things turn into rocks, have poisonous bites, and flutz with the cameras in different ways.

They're electro-magnetic shape-shifting moon crabs.

The beginning is boring and the end is stupid.

Apollo 18 is also a very good movie. In the style of Paranormal Activity.

I couldn't really tell, all you really got to see of them at any given point were just a few legs before everything went dark again. Apollo 18 and Chernobyl Diaries both had HUGE potential, but gave it all up for an hour and a half of running around in the dark saying "we gotta get outta here"

Absentia is pretty legit. I saw it at a Q and A with the director and Doug Jones, and I usually hate horror movies, but this one I liked.
