well i do have to say that i did used to be in love with botdf but bvb is actually a pretty good band with some good music and meaningful lyrics. just my opinion.

see like i said i used to be a huge fan and i am slightly still (going to their concert next month) but the thing is that Andrew Beirsack is the Justin Beiber of the "emo" world. I personally think all their songs started to sound too much alike. But because Beirsack attracts so many young 13 year old girls they are still very famous. see the way it goes is that usually when a kid goes through the emo/scene stage in middle school or highschool their first favorite bands tend to be BVB, BOTDF, or another BrokeNCYDE. and if they continue in that stage they out grow it and listen to better bands but still in that field (exp. Falling in Reverse, Pierce the Veil, Asking Alexandria, A Day to Remember, Suicide Silence, Sleeping With Sirens, etc.)

I don't mean to sound offensive in any way, but I seem to notice I'm older than you. Hehe kind of odd if you think about it. All those bands you listed, I've listened to the bands before them when I was in middle and high school. Saosin, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, Chiodos, Silverstein, The Used, Escape the Fate (Ronnie Radke era), etc. etc. I could go on further. ADTR was there in my days as well, Suicide Silence was too. So was Asking Alexandria, but I never checked them out. I like one Pierce the Veil song. I've been apart of the subculture before it got all oddly famous and proceeded to die out in 2008 commercially. I still listened to that type of music beyond that year. But yes, seems I'm a vet to the culture. I feel old. xD

yea, no i am young but people always tell me i am more mature than my actual age. Mainly because i have grown up around adults almost all of my life and still do (my dad owns a hookah lounge and you have to be 18+ to be in there and all the people that work there are pretty close friends so i learn a lot) and yes i do like those bands that you listed and still listen to them like even though chiodos died out i listen to D.R.U.G.S. and sksk is awesome but don't get me wrong! i know when there is a fine line between liking bands and liking music to jumping the bandwagon just because someone else likes it

not really, seriously, Asking Alexandria for example, they simply treat there fans as utter shit and have no respect for them, they see them as something that is below them. Suicide Silence, well, idk, cause I don't know much baout them, but they are commercial as shit though. I mean selling a DVD about the memorial of your dead singer? Show some respect. BMTH was ok at first, but now its like a failed pop band trying to be metal. Black Veiled Brides? Well they're just plain attention whores and give all that is metal a bad name. And so on, and so on....

from what I've seen, asking alexandria are nice enough guys. I haven't seen them act in front of fans so I can't really argue with you on that. didn't even know suicide silence was doing that. I don't give a shit really what the bands are like, i'm there for the music.

Ok, Asking Alexandria, just let me give an example. For an interview they said they would prove that they could get anything done because they're Asking Alexandria. So they went to the crowd, picked out 3 random girls, went to their tourbus and came out an hour later.. That really not showing respect to your fans. I'm also for the music don't get me wrong, but I have a problem with bands like that. Even here in my local metal scene, when I go to gigs I don't support bands that act as if they're better then us. Bands have to show respect, why? We are the fucking reason they are up there on stage.
