Yep, because when the tanks start rolling, your 9mm is going to make all the difference.

I disagree with banning guns, but saying that the people can rebel against the government, which has the most advanced military in the fucking world, with any amount of guns is just plain retarded

The Us Navy is larger than the next 13 largest Navies in the world combined.

As of 2012 the US Air Force has 332,854 active personnel, 185,522 civilian personnel, 71,400 reserve personnel, 106,700 air guard personnel and a $140 billion budget. It operates 5,484 aircraft, 450 ICBMs and 63 satellites, making it the largest air force in the world.

During fiscal year 2010, the Regular Army reported a strength of 561,979 soldiers; the Army National Guard (ARNG) reported 362,015 and the United States Army Reserve (USAR) reported 205,281 putting the combined component strength total at 1,129,275 soldiers.

It is the smallest of the United States Armed Forces in the U.S. Department of Defense . . . The Marine Corps is nonetheless larger than the armed forces of many significant military powers; it is larger than the active duty Israel Defense Forces and the active duty British Army, for example.

Should I go on?

So it's not about the guns, it's about "I might not want to have it, but I want to be able to have"

K, tell that to the parents of anyone killed by that assault weapon

I know people who can kill with a toothbrush.

For fucks sake everything around us is a potential weapon. Sure some guns are better at killing a bunch of people at once but the exact same thing can be done by making a pipe bomb out of shit laying around your house. You gave your opinion and its fine and all, i just dont like you commenting as an anonymous fag sack cause you're too afraid of getting red thumbs.

What is exactly that second amendment?

Every "assault weapon" in america has a modified breach if it is bought for personal home use (hunting and such) A personally owned ar15 is in all intents and purposes a carbine semi-automatic. It is no different that a magazine fed semi automatic hunting rifle. The only reason for owning one is that the owner finds them interesting and fun to shoot. If you don't like it then that's your problem. Any opinion on ugn control saying that they should be banned is retarded. One how would you go and take all of the privately owned guns? Two how would you give compensation for taking the thousands of dollars worth of firearms away. Three it won't stop the attainment of weapons illegaly that are used in crime. Four gun control is perfectly fine, and even beneficial, however making privately owned guns illegal is retarded.

he didnt even use the automatic weopon in the shooting it was in the trunk of his car... plus a kid tried to shoot up a theater in texas and shot one person and a off duty cop shot him...

What the media doesnt show you is the 50 or so dumbass mass murderers yearly that are shot and killed by someone carrying. Much more good comes from guns then bad.

I wouldn't mind having a gun, just don't give it to those 'Muricans who would shoot at ya for stepping on their lawn while they're yelling " trespassurrr"

No matter what any of you say, Americans are fat lazy cunts that love their guns. Do any of you honestly think that American civilians would rebel against their government? I'll try to make it as simple as possible. Americans won't "rebel" against shit, their too damn cozy in their fucking lazy-boys watching Family guy on a flat screen while slamming back a double whopper with bacon. God bless America.

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."- U.S. Bill of Rights. You have the right to bear arms in a well regulated militia (So the government is within full rights of the constitution to regulate your guns).
#75 to #63 - N. Korean citizen (02/14/2013) [-]
a militia (in the american constitution) is a mass of people fighting for one cause. The drug cartels are technically militia, just participating in illegal activities. If you are an american citizen you could be in a militia at any point you choose to be, meaning they cannot regulate our guns. thats what the second amendment is for

"i want guns so i can defend myself against other people with guns."
User avatar #67 to #52 - Maroon (02/14/2013) [-]
um, yeah? Just cause the law stops me from buying a gun doesn't mean it'll stop a criminal from getting one, especially since they get them illegally anyway
