It's not like the catholic church is the biggest charitable organization on earth or anything.

It's definitely taken seriously by people.

Let's say they sell that gold cross and all the gold in the Vatican and then they'd be able to feed ALL the children in Africa (we're talking millions of kids) for how long? A month? Maybe a year tops? And then what? That won't solve anything.

If Africa can't handle its own **** the crumbs we throw at them won't fix anything.

Who cares how long, they'll probably go back to their ways but at least it will help, but why the **** does he have a gold cross and **** anyways?

well donating to help improve the infrastructure of Africa is better than donating money to fund his holding of the golden cross.

Not a very pretty way of saying it but he is right. Just giving away food and money won't do anything. The most anyone can do is allow them to solve their own problems, I know it doesn't sound like the most heartfelt idea, sorry.

Pooling money into the pit of Africa never solves anything. All that does is heighten fertility rates and thus explode poverty among those newborns.

Praying for the starving children is a reasonable premise because giving the area money will only create more starving children.

hmm yes if you were a starving child in Africa i'm sure you would rather have some prayers guided in your direction instead of help from the WHO.

Would you be suggesting eugenics?
