I think FJ has retained most of its uniqueness over the years. I believe it has the fortitude to become popular without going to the "dark side". At least I hope it does. I also think there would be a a higher volume of good OC if FJ became more popular.

I think since the advent of memes and rage comics becoming Facebook regulars and hitting the mainstream audience, loads of people here turned into massive hipsters and now hate rage comics.

Exactly! Ragefaces are okay. It's the misused or unnecessary ragefaces that I can't stand. But most people get pissed when they see just one single rage face.
