It also appears to use some sort of color scheme. I'm trying to figure out what it means. I believe that the purple represents countries commonly made fun of on the internet

France and Finland perhaps.. but.. I don't hear much about Bulgaria, Austria, Lithuania, or... the fuck is Bosnia and Herzegovina?

Don't worry, nothing is free. You'll be paying it all back when you work in the form of taxes. A way around this of course is to move to another country, but then you'd fuck over your own country in the process.

the problem with the American university system is that the federal government is pussyfooting about what they want to do with it. they subsidize the hell out of it, but all that results from subsidies is a tuition hike because the universities know that the government will just give them more money. if the government went with a european style system which made it completely "free" it would be better, or, if they completely got out, it would also be better because universities would then actually have to compete price-wise, making them actually, you know, affordable. my personal preference is the latter as I am rather individualistic and suchlike. but, meh, if it works, do it that way.

Places like England, Wales, Ireland, etc don't

Not free, but affordable for almost everybody, also there are funds for good students.
In Italy costs 1400 a year, Spain 1000 or so. You don't have to pay a fucking loan to study and start paying even if you're working in a fucking mcjob

Norway, we get payed to go to school. Me my self, 18 Years old, i get 11750$ every year for going to school and for paying rent, sience it's hard to have a job and go to school, so they cover that for us.

well not really. first of all, no one is making you go to "folkehøyskole" that is something you can do if you want, second, "folkehøyskole" costs about 100k nok, but you get like 50k for free, and you can take a loan that cover the rest, if you finish the school, you have to pay only a small % of the loan, so it will cost you about 30k. And it's worth it. Because the stuff you do on the school is fun, like surfing, skiing, gaming if you want, etc. so the money you pay is to cover for the trips you take with the school etc.

UK =/= Europe... at least they claim it that way usually. I don't really know how much they pay (I think after the last reform like 10k a year), here in Italy costs 1400 € a year. So even if you took a loan to pay your degree (not likely), you won't pay it as a fucking house.

Maximum a degree can cost in the UK for a year is £9000 which is over 10 and a half thousand euro, just realised my keyboard doesn't have euro symbol on it what the hell haha

So, for the usual 4 to 5 year degree, the maximum anyone in England will pay is £9000. In Scotland the maximum we will receive over 4 to 5 year period is £10000 to £12500.
