If I had kids that I had nothing to do with banging on my door at 6 in the morning every day I'd be pissed too.

Not wanna sound like a bitch but....

There are a lot of poor kids who get forced to ask for money, by there parents and even by criminals. as a kid i can't imagine what you could do with 100$. instead it would have been more believable if the kids in question would have asked for food. it happens on a daily base in my motherland that kids are being forced to ask for money, some of the criminals even break a leg of a kid so the tourist would be more generous.

Don't you hate when people over analyze your- they were not tourists, they were stationed there- jokes?

Hey I've never seen this happening, I just remember like ten years ago I would go out for Halloween with a little box on my neck that said "unicef" and people would give me change, I never knew what it was for though.

I'm assuming this is for something similar, although the fact that these kids are coming to the same houses every day might imply some dastardly deeds are afoot like extremely obnoxious soliciting.

Unicef was donations for charity helping kids around the world :P

Years ago, I used to live in Brownsville, Texas, which is right at the bottom tip of Texas, and the top of Mexico. Often, when you would drive to Mexico, kids would be on the sides of the streets with buckets on sticks begging for money. And other times, kids would come up to your door and ask for money. And you couldn't give them any, cause, y'know, then they'd all come and ask. I'm sure it'd get a lot worse more into Mexico a person goes. But I'm sure they weren't screaming, just an exaggeration for the story.
