We use it to calculate the diameter of a circle with known circumference or the circumference of a circle with known diameter.
It also applies to trig functions.

Anyways pi is really useful in math, it's arguably the most useful irrational number if not the most useful number. If you take the radius of a circle, square it, and multiply it by pi, you get the area. If you take the diameter, or twice the radius, and multiply it by pi, you get the circumference. You can use this to find volumes of cones, cylinders, and spheres and such. Pi is actually a really famous number, so sorry if I came off rude, I was just surprised that you hadn't heard of it.
