He still can sing. Search up Turmoil, Gypsyhook, Mora, Lustbug, Father Said etc. Everyone is done after his vocal chords blew.

On December 29, 1994, while vacationing in Cuba, LaBrie was stricken with a severe case of food poisoning from contaminated pork and while vomiting, he ruptured his vocal cords. He saw three throat specialists who all said there was nothing they could do except have him rest his voice as much as possible. However, on January 12, 1995, and against doctor's orders, he was on the "Awake" tour in Japan with his voice far from normal. LaBrie has said he did not feel vocally "normal" until at least 2002. LaBrie has said that this was a very hard time for him as a singer, and depression as a result caused him to consider departing from the band, although his bandmates supported him and told him to stay. After the "Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence" tour he discovered that his voice had fully returned. He has said that his voice was fully healed by time and training. Starting from the summer of 2008 and through today James studies with vocal coach Jaime Vendera and since then he has been saying that his voice is even better than it once was.

the point is that labrie did the same thing an etire tour and felt it for about seven years after the incident, yet he went on playing and didn't give his voice the rest it needed in order to give their fans a good show
he didn't stop even with a ****** up voice

btw I did like the metal-ish project skrillex was on but dubstep is not really my cup of tea
his voice reminded me of funeral for a friend a little

I like dubstep, but I don't really appreciate it much.

It's the easiest genre of music to make, and it doesn't make you feel much emotion like other genres can, but it makes great party music.

While yes, dubstep is probably the easiest to make, it's still ******* HARD. I've tried it, and it takes a long time.

Didn't sound as bad as my first attempt. Still, I wouldn't necessarily classify it as dubstep. It's missing some of the components.

An illnes that can destroy your immunity system is less worse than a sore throat? Are you retarded?

He's saying that what Skrillex had would ruin his voice. What Freddie had would make die later on in that sickness. But a broken leg means everything to a runner. But to, lets say, a guitarist a broken leg means nothing.

A SICKNESS THAT HAS TO DO WITH YOUR THROAT CAN WEAKEN IT AND CAUSE YOU TO RUIN YOUR VOICE

AIDS CAN KILL YOU, BUT UNTIL THAT DAY IT WONT RUIN YOUR VOICE

I can't tell if you're a genuine retard or just trolling.

Freddie Mercury's AIDS got so bad during the last few months of his career that when they were recording songs for albums such as Innuendo he was drinking two shots of vodka between songs to ease the pain from singing. Not to mention with a ****** up immune system that cold or sore throat can become a huge infection that ***** you over immensely, actually get AIDS (If some degenerate lowlife would ever **** you I'd be amazed myself) and witness the pain. Then you'll realise how much pain it puts people through.

You just seem to be a typical skrillex fanboy, thumbing anything that doesn't match your opinion down. Please, kill yourself.

yes aids in its later stages can be a problem for singers

but my point was, singing while sick can cause you to ruin your voice.

Cuts, even decent sized ones like that heal.

JB wasn't trying to avoid "getting hurt" he was trying to avoid completely ruining his voice.

I don't like justin beiber but its still just to not sing when sick

This song, I love it. It really brings out the raw talent that Skrillex has. The singing, I just love the high minor key that it's in. And the drop with its deep fm growls. It's kinda like the best of both worlds when it comes to Skrillex songs.

Oh and since there's an argument about EDM Producer's talent I guess I'll just post this here

He's actually even sung in a bunch of his tracks like Voltage, Summit, My goodbye and others. Point is, I guess he still has some voice left in him.
