Don't focus on the technology, and how this game is "Omg so unrealistic". Focus on the plotline, the underlying effects, the situation's thoughts and ideas. Don't focus on the necromorphs as the scariest thing in the game. They aren't trying to make you afraid of the creatures, you can't do that in a shooter. They're trying to make you afraid with the surroundings, the sense of being alone, the only one left in the fucked up place.
