Just picked up DS3. And no, it's not a horror game, it wasn't even advertised as one this time around. It's a solid story-line RPG with great Co-op.
I have fallen in love with the Deep plot, mostly because it's much more complex then most people realise and it goes right over their head.
Pick it up, it's a solid 9/10. Play with a friend who isn't a mentally retarded jackass, 9.5/10

Meh, Dead Space 3 ain't scary. I don't think its possible to top the first one IMO.

This might sound strange, but I was far more scared playing Bioshock than at any point in Dead Space.

Story and scare, coming around to fuck your shit up (the scene in the nursery was horrifying). Dead Space 3 so far is disappointing. It lacks that forwardness that a Dead Space game needs. With the option to move around where you please in space eliminates the possibility to scare off of anticipation, but can only provide jump scares. Also, the way you upgrade weapons and armor is far more complicated then Dead Space 2.
Only positives I see from Dead Space 3 is complete weapon customization (although I have no fucking clue what I'm doing and what the difference is in stocks), and the ability for co-op. I'm a huge fan of cooperative games for the story mode.
Anyone want to kill some necromorphs with me, just let me know! I'm looking for someone to play with until my friend mans the fuck up and buys it.
