That would do the opposite of help! One of the main reasons our country is struggling is because there's trailer park girls, running around with their legs open having 7 kids. When I'm older, I'm going to adopt. They're already here, so it doesn't add on anymore. Plus it gives a child a good family.

From what I can understand, poor/impoverished mothers have children because it gives them purpose, and something to live for. It doesn't matter if they can't afford kids, or are able to successfully support them, they'll have kids anyway just to give them a reason to get up in the morning.

It makes much more sense than just calling these women loose because they're stupid...

Just what we need, more kids.
#24 - duckslikegrapestoo (02/06/2013) [-]
shouldn't we do something about the kids without homes before pumping even more out? not saying don't have kids but maybe adopt a few or foster them before popping out a dozen?

maybe i say this cuz i have the adopted sisters
User avatar #41 to #24 - mcstorms (02/06/2013) [-]
I definitely want to adopt a kid one day
User avatar #30 to #24 - ivoryhammer (02/06/2013) [-]
That's why I'd prefer to adopt than to make my own kid, especially if I can skip the diaper years
#68 to #30 - duckslikegrapestoo (02/07/2013) [-]
i want one of my own and im open for adoption, my bf and i have take the foster care stuff but we dont have an extra room so we cant take in a kid

A simple solution. Instead of having more kids, how about we KILL all the old people?

The workforce:retirees ratio is only getting worse because people are living longer, not because people have stopped having babies.
User avatar #34 - IbeTrollinFewl (02/06/2013) [-]
Yes because what we really need is More people, its not like the world is getting overpopulated or anything.

Yes. More babies.

That is exactly what this world needs.

A planet overflowing with 7 billion people. The highest number in population history...
starvation... wars....

The only thing that will save us, is even MORE people.

******* . Brilliant.

Only third-world countries are overpopulated. Do you find it acceptable for countries like Japan to go extinct only because a bunch of ******* are ******** out their uncivilized offspring? Note the highest countries on the list based on birthrate are ones like Uganda and Niger. Poland, Lithuania, Germany and Japan are on the very bottom.

Here's the map. Every single country in Europe is below replacement level.

Regarding environmental issues, we are. Although economically, countries like USA and Japan have too many retirees/people close to retirement, and not enough young/future workforce members. That can be an economic problem in the long term.

Both have gone down the ******* but I cast my vote for environment. The economy can rise back up again but once the environment is gone, its gone for good
#121 to #116 - feelythefeel (02/07/2013) [-]
They don't have to be polar opposites. There are ways to balance environment and economy. Although you have to keep in mind, choosing one thing often means not being able to choose another.

Again, it's your choice. Keep in mind, there are ways to strike a balance, especially if you consider that many issues are simply facets of root problems.
