I did, and sort of succeeded. It's also kinda true that people think that way. Christianity is based on the teachings of Jesus and the only violent/hate filled scriptures are in the beginning of the bible which were based off of strict Jewish laws.

It isn't true at all, the Bible is a very simple book in-terms of the way it's laid out.

Old testament: Before Jesus, full of stories about people that lived during that time including now out-dated laws and social rulings.

New testament: During Jesus' life, stories about his life, his teachings, and his disciple's stories from after Jesus died.

Even from how you descirbed it, it isn't hard to follow at all, and that couldn't have been the joke part of what you said originally as there's no joke there

I feel US politics is too focused on picking sides, and making everything 'black and white' instead of trying to deal with an issue, it pisses me off to debate with people when I'm in the middle, and they just can't pull their heads out of their asses on either side to do anything constructive.

No, see, that's not attacking the problem at the source. Taxes shouldn't NEED to be high because the government shouldn't be spending enough money to require a 70% or 90% tax bracket, or even 40%. The government can and should be run more efficiently.

But then who would govern us? The ONLY reason these people are in office is to get a nice fat government check. They constantly vote to increase their salary, even in the last couple years. It's fucking ridiculous. Cut the pay to like 40k a year and see who REALLY cares about the country
