Staying up till ungodly morning hours on the internet probably isn't very good for your sleeping patterns mate.

I ALWAYS take my naps on my couch. Even though the bed is 1 meter away.
I don't know, it just feels better. Like i haven't actually given up for the day yet.

Interestingly enough, there is a reason for when this happens.
More studies are starting to show a connection between couches and sleep ability.
Love seats are more inviting to the cerebellum thus making it easier to achieve sleep.
Yearlong sleeping in the same mattress also effects sleep ability.
In depth studies have shown that changing beds every year helps insomnia.
No one can resist the comfort that a sofa provides.
Guys tend to fall asleep easier on couches than beds.

If you do things while laying in bed when your tired like reading or watching tv and try not to sleep, it trains your mind to think "oh, im not supposed to sleep here because im supposed to have something else im focusing on". where as you don't often lay on the couch when your getting stuff done. sitting and laying down do weigh in as different.

Replace bed with couch, problem solved.
