Better than Pulp Fiction, too, in my opinion. The music in Django Unchained was also better than in Inglourious Basterds, and that says a lot.

I've yet to make my mind up about it being better than Pulp Fiction, because I've only just seen Django, and I tend to like a film more when I've just seen it.
Yes, definitely, the music was perfect. It even managed to put rap in it, when it wasn't relevant to the time it was set, but it fit perfectly. The main theme is awesome too.

All it needed was a small role for Clint Eastwood and it would've been perfect.

I don't think it wa better than Pulp Fiction, although it gets pretty close, but the dialogues in Pulp Fiction are fucking perfect just as in Reservoir Dogs . Definitely the best thing he has done since Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction.

What made this movie so epic is how fucking fantastic Cristoph Waltz (Dr. Schultz) is yet again. I'd bet on him to get the Oscar again this year.

this is kind of a tough situation. do you like a villain for his actions? no, probably not. you like him for his attitude. i.e. the Joker's craziness, Vaas' dialogue. so, I understand what you mean- Samuel L. Jackson's character was not a charismatic villain like the Joker, Vaas, or Handsome Jack, but a slave who served his master unto his dying breath...so, while it may not be a guy you love to hate, it was unique and well-played.
