Guys, Joffrey dies at his wedding and Tyrion get the blame. He appeals for a trail by combat with Prince Oberon as his champion. The prince has to fight Ser Gregor Clegeane, who is also known as "the mountain who rides". Gregor wins but only after he is fatally wounded. Jaime breaks his little brother out of jail the day before the execution and confesses that Lord Tywin killed his first wife all those years ago. Tyrion decides he's had enough of his dad's **** and puts a quarrel through his chest. Jon becomes Lord Commander of The Wall and Stannis, the rightful heir to the Iron Throne has journeyed to The Wall to repel an assualt by the wildlings and hopefully make a truce with them in order to fight off The Others. Remember our words, winter is coming.

It's been a while since I read the books, but I'm pretty sure Tyrion's first wife wasn't killed. His father just had all his men rape her and then let her go if I remember correctly.
