1. Can't or won't afford equipment and plane ticket.
2. too busy trying to make a normal living.
3. lt's ******* unnecessary to climb Mount Everest.
4. Why would anyone need an excuse not to? What's the reason to climb it in the first place?

If he's fairly used to walking with his prosthetic legs then it should probably be easier for him than some other people.
Because really.. he's only having to work half his legs at this point, meaning his bodies requires that much less oxygen to function well.

Not saying I would cut off my legs for fake ones (unless they were some ******* Dues Ex kinda robot legs) but.. I'm pretty sure it makes it easier on the body.

But I'm not an expert on these things, I'm completely guessing here.

So he doesn't have to worry about the burn of lactic acid in his legs...one's legs being tired is still a legitimate excuse, just sayin.

this is what i was always wondering about that guy in the Olympics who had robo legs..
it really seems like an advantage to not have all the pressure on your Knees/legs

I always thought it was unfair that the people with robot legs get to run in races with non-cyborgs. If a dude in boxing had lost a hand and they gave him one specifically made for boxing (chunk of lead), that wouldn't be very fair, now would it.
