i have to write in MM-DD-YYY for it to be counted, but i always write out the month fully.

you know there is no "right" way you know?

I rather go MM-DD-YYYY just because, like thatscrewedupkid said it just makes sense in the form of speech.

My workplace also follows the same format as my preference but i know plenty of other places that do it differently.

Don't be so ignorant to believe that one format is better than the other.

It's like arguing that Fahrenheit is inherently better than Celsius because you're used to one way of representing it.
