Hi, bronyfag here. I have absolutely nothing against anyone thumbing down stuff just because of ponies. It's even the other way around. A lot of bronies goes around and posts ponies everywere, even when it's not related. And that is just as frustrating for me to see as you. It just gets to much when they have to spam at places they even know that ponies are not appreciated. If they keep getting thumbed down they will eventually understand that it's best to keep the ponies on the bronieboard.
