Because 99% of auto-correct mishap screenshots are made using a generator and no smartphone or conversation between two parties are ever factually involved.

Implying that you have NEVER had low battery?

it's actually smarter to let your phone get to low battery before charging it instead of constantly charging and keeping it at full battery, which in turn ruins the battery quicker.

This guy knows his ****. My phone's battery crapped out on me after a while because I kept charging it even when it was full.

I learned my lesson with that.

I had an ipod touch I strictly used for music and youtube, and I charged it so much that it doesn't stay alive for more than 2 hours of continuous use, and only lasts about 38 hours if I leave the music running without unlocking it (approximation based on me not charging and leaving it on till it ran dry)

I recently got a Samsung Galaxy SIII (which I ******* love) and the battery lasts FOREVER.

Plus if I it really craps out on me in the future, I can easily buy another battery. Seeing that Samsung isn't ran by cunts like Apple so they actually sell batteries.

yeah I learned my lesson as well, and I also got the galaxy sexIII as well... oh god it's a sexy phone. I'm trying to treat it nice so it doesn't crap out like my other one like you said.

I ******* love the SexIII.

And when In went to swim practice, there was on teammate who is obviously an Apple fag, immediately said "ew....it's not iPhone..." which then I just replied "Yeah, it's better."

And there was another teammate who said "HA Apple phones are so much better". I then replied "You do know that Samsung created the screen displays for your precious Apple products?"

MFW winning pointless arguments.

"Battery memory" is actually not an issue with any modern battery. It was only a factor with old nickel cadmium batteries. Modern batteries don't suffer from any (noticable) memory effect.

However, they are susceptible to overcharging. Overcharging is exactly what it sounds like. The battery is charged to full, then more electricity is pumped into it, overcharging it. Batteries natrually get crappier over a few years, but this is what kills modern batteries.

Most modern smartphones and computers should protect from this. They should measure voltages to tell when the battery is full and stop charging it. Plugging a battery in at full charge can mean that a little gets through before the safety is tripped.

Also, not every "safety" is as good as you'd hope. It might run for a little bit after hitting 100%. The more times you top the battery off, the more times you leak over. In a sense, this is why it can be a good habit to use 100% of your battery before charging. You only let the battery reach 100% once instead of three or four times. That's fewer chances for the safety to screw up.

This is all with smart chargers (ones with the safety). Older chargers lack the safety, and with these you want to always drain 100% of your battery first. They just work on a timer. A battery can hold X amount of power, so a dumb charger just runs on a timer, pumping in power at a steady rate until a certain amount of time has passed (and you've mathematically reached X). With an old dumb charger, a battery might take 6 hours to charge, so it runs for 6 hours. If the battery is half full when you start, everything after 3 hours is overcharging, and you're killing your battery.

Too bad my iPod does this now and it's the 4th gen iTouch. I really can't believe you if it's happening right in front of me, so you must be referring to a newer battery build that isn't widely used yet by most devices.

This is why I only come on here a maximum of once a month, you're all bigoted twelve year olds who have never used IOS. My iPhone 5 is the best phone I've ever owned. The battery life isn't even comparable since I used to actively avoid using android when I had it because it is such a horrible user experience. I am constantly on my iPhone and it lasts me at least a full day of listening to music, being on the web constantly and general use. My Android would last maybe six hours of heavy use. Plus all your digs at it's increased size, have you seen the ******* S3? My garage is more portable...
