10 years? I can't wait 10 fucking years, there's no reason in the world for it not to look like that now. Nintendo doesn't realize if they made this a skyrim-like mmo, they would have to hire an army to stop people from drowning them in their money

It could look like that now, Pokemon games are plenty lucrative as they are now, not very far evolved from when they originally came out, just minor upgrades and endless complication of the strategy, so why would they bother investing time and money into something like a pokemon RPG? Sure, it could be a massive hit and the replay value would be incredible, but theres always the chance it could be a flop, and at this point in the lifetime fo a franchise it just takes one big flop like that to send them into decline.
