Ellen probably complained to the manager, and the manager probably said "Those employees are no longer with us, I hope you continue to shop here at our store!" because they like money.

I doubt she sued, but this is very unprofessional of the employees, and reflects poorly on the company. Ellen probably did very little more than report it to the Apple Store manager, who then fired the three employees.
