Let that guy write the story for the new Star Wars, NOT Disney!

THey are already written. George Lucas did it, but decided not to publish them. 7th 8th and 9th movie is already written.

Lucas trashed the ones we wrote a long time ago because he was having trouble translating it to a script. Someone is already working on the rewrites, but not Lucas.

Lucas didn't trash them...But they also won't be the final scripts. It will be used as source material.

What is so bad with Disney anyway? Disney made Pirates of the Caribbean and they own the rights to marvel too and everyone seems to like iron man and the avengers. The only thing that came of Disney owning Star Wars is that there is sure to be some good story writing. Disney are good at keeping the story where it should be and not the awful mess that star wars episode 1 2 and 3 turned out to be. Especially clone wars.. I am a huge star wars fan and everything but clone wars was just awful.

The prequels were not an awful mess. They were plagued with a few awful characters and creatures. Jar jar, the droids and the trade federation. Everything else about them is great.

The Avengers wasn't in the hands of Disney.

Sure they were bought by them already but they didn't let them touch the movie.

Well, that's what I read when it was coming out. Not sure if it's right.

This is not about the compagny. This is about patiossate people working on a project and trying to live up to viewers expectation built over the years. For many, the first Star Wars movies are classic that cannot compete with what have been done more recently. Sure, your fans will go see your movie. But, I think it will be very hard to live to whatever expectations they will have. Maketing is key factor here.

I think it has to do with the principal of Disney owning another major industry.
